Jet Lag – Time Zone Change Syndrome
Jet lag is associated with a violation of the nervous system, namely the part that is responsible for the biological clock. For those people, who fly with to a country where the time difference is just an hour, the recovery will take only 24 hours. But if you fly to another continent where the time difference with your country zone is six hours, the adaptation can take a very long time.
How Can You Faster and Easier Adapt to the Time Zone Change?
Five days before the flight, try to cheat time. Start to get up a couple of hours earlier or vice versa later, depending on where you’re going – to Egypt or Thailand. Thus, you can reduce the process of adaptation after the flight and have more days for a good rest.
It is worth changing the lighting in the rooms. The main thing is to change the saturation of the light in the morning and evening. If you are going to Thailand, it is necessary to turn on the light in the morning, and in the evening, on the contrary, reduce the degree of illumination. If you are planning to visit solar Spain, then you can change the lighting in the morning – make it weaker, but in the evening brightly illuminate the rooms.
During vacation, go to bed and get up at the same time as you do at home. This method is especially good, if the holiday takes only three days. You won’t have time for adapting to the time zone change, so it’s better not to waste time changing the your regular schedule.
You can also use hormone therapy. Melatonin can be taken in small doses, but before taking such hormones it is worth consulting a doctor.
It is better to prepare for the change of time zones before your planned trip and follow the recommendations mentioned above. They will help immediately start a full-fledged work in another country or completely give yourself to an exciting holiday.
